Chefs at the Oak Table Cafe understand that preparing good food takes time and special care, so we start at dawn every day making numerous batters from authentic, coveted recipes that hold true to our vision of a memorable meal. Our batters are not from packaged mixes- all are carefully prepared and blended by hand using fresh ingredients, such as unbleached hard wheat flour, fresh eggs and real cream. Another important aspect of our batters comes from our sourdough barrel. This is what makes our pancakes light and of a fine texture. All of our syrups and toppings for our pancakes, crepes and omelettes are delicately prepared from scratch-recipes. Nothing can replace the fresh product for food quality or taste. Our butter is USDA 93 score, the finest available. We then render out the impurities (salts and solids) leaving the pure "golden oil" that we use to baste our eggs and cook special dishes. Our whipped butter is simply that - nothing added. We have chosen a special blend of coffee to compliment your meal and we serve it with real whipping cream. The Guinness World Record fundraiser event this weekend was a smashing success. Over 100 people came out to support Uveitis.org. We raised over $2000 and KOMO 4 news is going to play the episode of "Erics Little Heroes" on Tuesday at 4pm and 6pm. The final record is 68"1" breaking the old record of 28"2" by almost 40 feet. I did however sprain my ankle running into the KOMO 4 cameramans tripod. Well worth it!
